The Battenkill: A Poem by William Billings Watkins

The Folklife Center at Crandall Public Library

In 2015 we had an exhibition in the Folklife Gallery entitled "Battenkill Inspired: The Flow of Creativity, Ingenuity, and the River" which celebrated art and culture throughout the Battenkill watershed. Then in 2017 we received funding to create a series of 2-3 minute documentaries based on that exhibition. One of the mini-docs is "The Battenkill: A Poem" by William Billings Watkins. It is narrated by local historian Joseph Cutshall-King, and filmed and directed by Kevin Rogan.
